Corporate Culture Corporate Culture Building An Inclusive Workplace CSFB is dedicated to attracting, developing and retaining the best people in our industry. We bring together individuals of different genders, races, ages, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations and disabilities to create a world-class team of financial service professionals. At the core of CSFB''s philosophy of inclusion is the Firm''s Global Dignity at Work Policy - a set of conduct guidelines that apply to all employees worldwide. This policy ensures that diversity, inclusiveness and dignity in the workplace are everyone''s responsibility. These enduring values are part of the very fabric of our business. They shape the way we hire, develop, and promote employees, and they guide us in the way we treat one another. Applying Best Practices As an employer of choice in the financial services industry, CSFB is committed to best practices in three key areas - corporate culture, employee development and recruitment. The Global Diversity Advisory Board, a Firm-wide council of business leaders, and the Global Diversity and Inclusion Team develop programs and policies that help employees balance their work and personal lives. Together, they offer strategic guidance and share industry best practices regarding human capital management. As a natural extension of our Employee Diversity initiatives, CSFB operates a Supplier Diversity Program to provide minority- and women-owned businesses with the opportunity to become vital external resources for the Firm. The Supplier Diversity Program expands CSFB''s capacity to achieve the best quality, value and service through diverse and mutually beneficial business relationships. For more information, please visit the Supplier Diversity section of this site. Work/Life Balance CSFB recognizes that our employees have a variety of lifestyles and that helping them to effectively balance multiple roles and responsibilities results in greater productivity. Accordingly, we have work/life balance policies, many of which are global in scope and available to domestic partners and part-time employees. Among the initiatives that help make CSFB a better place to work are: • Global Family Leave Policy • Paid Sabbatical Leave Policy • Global Domestic Partner Benefits • Flexible Work Arrangements • Emergency Back-up Childcare • Resource and Referral Program • Employee Assistance Program • On-site health and fitness facilities • Lactation rooms for working mothers • Prayer/meditation rooms In acknowledgment of our achievements in addressing work/life balance issues, CSFB has again been named one of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" by Working Mother magazine in 2004. Additionally, our Global Family Leave Policy is rated among the best in the survey for providing time off to new parents and caregivers. CSFB has also received The Singapore Family Friendly Employer Award from that nation''s Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy. This award represents the highest honor of its kind in Singapore, and has been presented to CSFB for actively promoting pro-family work practices. In addition to improving employee benefits so that our employees can better balance their work and personal lives, CSFB has created networking and mentoring opportunities to support employees'' professional development and strengthen their working relationships
